CAD Technician – MEP Building Services.

Join a respected, multidisciplinary consultancy working across a diverse range of construction projects. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled CAD Technician with experience in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Building Services.

You’ll support project teams by producing accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings for schemes across education, residential, commercial, and local authority sectors.

The role offers hybrid working, with a base in the Birmingham office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce high-quality 2D and 3D CAD drawings to support MEP Engineers across multiple projects
• Work collaboratively with wider multidisciplinary teams to meet project deadlines
• Support projects across all RIBA stages
• Maintain internal drawing standards and document control procedures
• Ensure all work complies with current industry standards
• Keep up to date with technical developments and CPD
• Flag any contractual or legal concerns to senior team members

Experience and Skills Required:

• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD (2D) is essential
• Experience using Revit (3D) is highly desirable
• Current workload is primarily 2D, with an increasing shift to 3D
• Background in MEP Building Services is required
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage your own workload and work effectively within a team
• City & Guilds Certificate in CAD (2D/3D) is an advantage
